Apple Picking at Shelburne Farm | GSC × BFAT
The Graduate Student Council and BFAT are heading to Shelburne Farm in Stow, a family orchard about 40 minutes from campus, for a morning of apple picking, hot cider donuts and a few hours away from your laptop.

What's picking this week
- Honeycrisp, Macoun, Gala, McIntosh, Cortland and Pink Lady (the farm's list for Oct 13–22)
- Pumpkins from the patch, if you want one for your doorstep
- Cider donuts made fresh in the Apple Shop, hayrides through the orchard, and food trucks on weekends

How does it work?
Meet us at the farm at 11:00 AM, or join a carpool from campus at 10:15 AM. Tell us on the RSVP whether you can drive or need a seat. We'll split into picking groups at the entrance and share bags. A one-peck bag (about 10 lbs) is $32 for up to three people, and a half-bushel bag (about 20 lbs) is $46 for up to five. That works out to about $10 a person. Hayrides are $3 extra.

Good to know
- The farm takes card and Apple Pay only, no cash.
- No pets anywhere on the farm, no exceptions.
- It runs rain or shine, so wear shoes that can handle a muddy orchard row.

Partners and families are welcome, so bring the people who keep you sane during module crunch. Open to graduate students in every program.

Part of the GSC Social Series, hosted by the Graduate Student Council with BFAT.
